To give a flavour of previous experiences, here are a selection of events we’ve put on in the past.
Previous Festival Talks;
Tony Husband has twice visited the festival to give talks related to his books, which are much lauded by the public and professionals. In 2016 he spoke at the Lion hotel about ‘Take Care, Son’, his book documenting his father’s experience of Alzheimer’s disease.
In 2017 he spoke at the Unitarian Church about ‘From a Dark Place; how a Family coped with Drug Addiction’, his book about his son Paul’s experiences.
‘Cartoonists in Coversation’ Panel Discussion
In 2018 Radio Presenter Alex Lester hosted our panel discussion with four great cartoonists. We’re familiar with the cartoons in magazines, but who are the people behind them?
What’s a typical day for a cartoonist? Can they find humour in anything? What’s the secret to their youthful, glowing skin?
Folk who came along to the Wightman Theatre found all this out and more!
2018 Cartoon Workshops;
